1. Service Description
Ren is an AI-powered companion designed to provide honest, reflective conversation. Ren is not a therapist, counselor, medical professional, or crisis service. She is a tool for personal reflection and growth. By using Ren, you acknowledge that you understand this distinction.
2. User Accounts
To use Ren, you create an account with an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. You may only maintain one account. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
3. Your Content
Everything you share with Ren is your content. You own it. We do not claim ownership over your conversations, insights, or personal data. You grant us a limited license to process your conversations through our AI systems to provide the service and generate insights. This license ends when you delete your data.
4. Data Handling
Your conversations are processed by AI (xAI/Grok) to generate responses and extract insights. We store patterns and insights derived from your conversations, not raw transcripts. Your data is stored securely and is never sold to third parties. You may export or permanently delete all of your data at any time from your account settings. 5. Not Medical Advice
Ren is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service. Nothing Ren says should be interpreted as professional advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact a qualified professional or crisis service immediately. We take this seriously — if Ren detects signs of crisis, she will direct you to appropriate resources.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Ren respectfully. You may not use the service to harass, harm, or exploit others, or to generate illegal content. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who abuses the platform.
7. Limitation of Liability
Ren is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of Ren's responses. You use the service at your own risk. In no event shall we be liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to emotional distress or decisions made based on Ren's responses.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via email or within the app. Continued use of Ren after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
