What data we collect

Account data:Your email address and the name you provide during onboarding. That's it for identification.

Conversation data: When you chat with Ren, your messages are sent to our AI provider (xAI/Grok) to generate a response. We store the resulting insights and patterns, not the raw transcript of your conversation.

Usage data: Basic interaction data like how often you use the service, which features you use, and session timestamps. No tracking pixels. No third-party analytics.

How your data is stored

Your data is stored in PocketBase, a self-hosted database running on our own infrastructure. Your account data and derived insights are stored there. We do not use third-party cloud storage for your personal data. All data at rest is encrypted.

AI processing

Your conversations are sent to xAI (Grok) to generate Ren's responses and extract meaningful insights. xAI processes your messages in real-time. We do not train AI models on your data. Messages are processed per request and not stored indefinitely by our AI provider. The insights and patterns that matter are stored in our own database.

What we don't do

We don't sell your data. Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to anyone. Ever.

We don't use tracking pixels or third-party analytics.No Meta Pixel, no Google Analytics. We know what's happening on our own platform without spying on you elsewhere.

We don't profile you for advertising.Ren doesn't serve ads, so there's no ad profile to build.

Your rights

Export: You can export all of your data at any time from your account settings. This includes your profile information and all insights Ren has gathered.

Delete:You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time. This is not a soft delete — it's real, permanent, and irreversible. One click, and it's gone.

Access:You can see exactly what Ren has stored about you at any time through the app's memory and insights features.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit. While no system is perfectly secure, we are committed to protecting your privacy as a fundamental priority — not an afterthought.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify you via email for any material changes. We will never make changes that retroactively affect how your past data was handled.
